Verdicts

Verdict	Your agent should
Allow	Proceed with the action
Warn	Proceed only if the reasons allow it; if a reason asks for approval, wait for it
Block	Not act. Surface the reasons to a person or fix them and evaluate again

Good practice

Call the gate immediately before acting
Not at the start of a long task: state may change in between.

Treat errors as a block
If the gate cannot be reached, do not act. Fail closed.

Keep the decision ID
Log it with the action so outcomes can be traced to their receipt.

Show reasons to people
Reasons are written to be read; pass them on rather than hiding them.
